Maam.. Good Morning..
Hello.. Maam..
Maam I have one doubt...
I was not used to this a month before.. I changed my profession last month.. When I was working with the indusrty it was a different experience. Boss.. Junior.. Senior.. was used to these relations.. But when I stood as a lecturer it was altogether different experience. I thought its easy just teach them whatever I have learnt. Thats it.
But when I joined then I started realising that the job of a teacher is not that easy. Your students make u feel that u r their Idol. They assume that u r perfect, u know everything from this great world. Many times I was also stuck up with some querries. Then there was a pressure on me between the expectations from the students and my knowledge. You think that you are driving the lecture but some times students take u on ride n u r lost. Now I hav learnt to handle these situations..
Truly its a different experience. I remember one of our teacher used to say "I am friendly but I am not your friend" That time we made a joke of it.. but now I understand the meaning of this sentense. Its very difficult to draw that line between you n your students. You should be friendly but at the same time you should maintain the respect. Otherwise its not possible to teach.
Yes ... am enjoying my new field.. One experience to share with you. Last week I was observing that one student was behaving very arrogantly. I decided to teach him a lesson. I asked him to solve one problem on board. I thought he will hesitate. But he came with full confidence. The sum was a difficult one but he solved it correctly. Then I was commentless. (khara tar mazach popat zala)Rather than me teaching him a lesson he taught me a lesson "That never assume that the other person does not know anything, he might know more than you"
